INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 6 Tbl butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbl milk
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
Butter Icing
- 2 1/2 Tbl soft butter
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbl heavy whipping crea
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTION FOR COOKIES:
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt
- Beat butter, shortening for 30 seconds
- Add sugar and beat until fluffy
- Add egg, milk and vanilla and beat well
- Add dry ingredients to mix and beat again
- Cover and chill
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes
- Make about 36 – 48 cookies
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ICING:
- Blend butter and sugar
- Stir in cream and vanilla until smooth
- Make enough icing for 4 dozen
